Radisson Hotel Group’s heritage dates back to 1960 with the opening of the Radisson Collection Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The Group entered the African market in 2000, launching Radisson Blu Hotel, Waterfront Cape Town, now transitioned to Radisson Collection Hotel, Waterfront Cape Town.

In parallel, CAR is making notable progress in renewable energy development to support sustainable growth. Key projects include the Danzi Solar Park, whose 25 MWp facility with 30 MWh battery storage, launched in November 2024, has cut diesel reliance by 90% and boosted domestic energy capacity by 40%, serving over 300,000 people.

On the exploration and production front, U.S.-based companies to the likes of ExxonMobil, Chevron, ConocoPhillips and Vaalco Energy are driving transformational projects in Africa. ExxonMobil is maximizing output at producing fields across the continent, through projects such as the Erha and Owowo fields in Nigeria and the Kizomba deepwater development in Angola’s Block 15.

AEW: Invest in African Energies is the platform of choice for project operators, financiers, technology providers and government, and has emerged as the official place to sign deals in African energy.

Participants will engage with technical experts, regulators, and market leaders from both Zambia and across Africa. Key sessions include decoding the contractual and financial frameworks of corporate PPAs, mastering battery storage management, addressing grid capacity challenges under Zambia’s Open Access policy, and ensuring solar PV safety and asset longevity.
